Dr. Johnson lived to be 97 years old. He served 42 years in the U.S. Navy and worked over 30 years as an internal medicine physician. He and his late wife Jolene traveled extensively around the world to at least 20 different countries spending many winters in Colombia where they were welcomed as part of the local community. This collection showcases their world travels and appreciation of art and culture. There are numerous Columbian pottery pieces, oil paintings – many signed by the artist, early 1900s gold coins, and unique treasures from various countries. The Johnsons owned three historic furniture pieces that were made from trees that stood in Bloody Lane, Antietam Battlefield during the Civil War. It includes a wild cherry mantle, dresser and dressing table and bench and has documentation of its origins. Check out all the Lionel trains, unique art glass, sterling silver and gold jewelry.
