I’m writing this post to thank those of you who showed up to our yard sale on Cambridge St. in Murrieta yesterday, 3/22/25. I’m so grateful for everyone who made a purchase or just stopped by for a look around & a friendly chat.
I also want to express my disappointment to those of you who took advantage of the situation & stole from me, while my friend & I were attending to other customers.
I started the morning with 37 brand new Disney/Pixar, Loungefly, Studio Ghibli, Sailor Moon, & Naruto collector pins. I remember legitimately selling maybe 7-8 pins throughout the morning and once things wound down a bit, I started to organize my items and saw that there was not a single pin left. Only some empty pin boxes. You stole every last one of them. I was only asking $5 per pin & also let everyone know that I was open to offers.
I want to let you know who you stole from:
You stole from someone who is faith-based, caring, selfless, hard-working & gratitude-filled.
You stole from someone who since July 2023 has been the sole income earner for their household. (Due to a severe back injury sustained by the 2nd income earner of the household.) In order for us to survive, I work tirelessly 6 days a week. Including delivering for Uber Eats & Grubhub on top of my regular job.
You stole from someone who doesn’t live in the home where the yard sale was held. I live in a small apartment & my dear friend was kind enough to allow me the use of her driveway to have the yard sale. Throughout the week, one car load at a time, I took my items to her home to be prepared for Saturday morning.
You stole from someone who was on the fence about even including these small items in the yard sale due to the possibility of them being stolen. But, I decided to trust the community because we direly need all the money we can get to keep a roof over our heads.
You stole from someone who will keep joy in their heart regardless of what you did.
You stole from someone who will continue to trust the Lord to provide all that we need.
Finally, you also stole from someone who is forgiving & believes in second chances. I believe that we should all be given an opportunity to fix our errors & learn to be better from them.
